I have asked myself how this took place and I keep thinking about the book of Joshua when the Lord told him to cross to the other side of the Jordan River.  The Jordan River was not opened like the Red Sea and there was no bridge.  Yet they did not stop walking towards the river, and when their feet touched the water it opened so they could cross into the promised land.  I believe that still holds true today when God calls you to do something.  No matter how hard it gets, how lonely or how ugly, if you just keep walking toward Him one day you will just look up and be there.

While sitting at the piano last week, the Lord told me to go to a person and ask a question and then give him the answer.  I think the answer was just as much for me as it was for him.  The question – If two birds were sitting on a limb and one decided to fly away, how many birds would be on the limb?  It seems like an easy answer.  There would be one.  But the correct answer is there would be two.  Just because the bird thought about it and decided to fly wouldn’t mean he would leave the limb!  For him to leave that place and go to another he would have to start flapping his wings, and the same holds true for us.  Too often, we want the Lord to bless our thoughts and decisions but it’s when we start moving in the right direction that the wind of the Spirit will carry us to our destiny.
